Mission Statement

       The School Resource Officer program is a collaborative effort between the Genoa Central School District, the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, Students, Parents, and the Community to offer law related educational programs in the schools in an effort to reduce crime, drug abuse, violence, and provide a safe school environment.

Goals of Genoa Central’s School Resource Officer Program

1. Bridge the gap between police officers and kids.
2. Increase positive attitudes towards law enforcement.
3. Encourage more citizen cooperation between police officers, kids, and the communities in which they live.
4. Reduce juvenile crime by counseling, teaching kids about the juvenile system, and taking a personal interest in their problems.
